LEAs Continue Adjusting Data As 10/31 Deadline For State Health Plan Open Enrollment Approaches

NCASA and one of our affiliates, the North Carolina Association of School Business Officials (NCASBO), continue to seek flexibility and clarity from the State Health Plan (SHP) staff to guide school district leaders through the recently requested data changes for school employee salaries.  As a follow-up to our update last week, the SHP staff has shared the following information this week:
  • If your district determines it needs to resubmit its salary file after making changes, you may either upload a revised file or enter the information manually. If you want to upload the file, please contact the SHP for assistance.
     
  • If you need to contact the SHP staff, you may reach out to your HBR representative or email HBRinquiries@nctreasurer.com.
SHP leadership has indicated they want to provide flexibility to members impacted by any last-minute changes to salary information that could impact their SHP premium for the coming year. They also remain committed to working with NCASA and school leaders to identify a clear set of rules and steps for districts to follow before open enrollment begins for the 2027 plan year.
