Governor Signs, Vetoes K-12 Bills While Lawmakers Are On Break
The legislature is currently in skeletal sessions with no votes being taken. The Senate passed SJR 772 on June 26 that set a schedule for their chamber, but the House did not concur with the proposal. It is possible that the House will return the week of July 28 to take veto override votes and pass an adjournment resolution.
While lawmakers are on break, Governor Josh Stein has been signing a series of education bills into law over the past 10 days. Those session laws are listed and linked below. Please click here for more detailed summaries. The list of all bills signed by the Governor is here.
Governor Stein also vetoed a series of education bills listed below. Lawmakers will decide whether to attempt veto override votes on any of these bills upon their return. A full list of vetoed bills is here.
